Clear, Easy Web Site Navigation

easy navigationEasy to navigate web sites sounds like a pretty simple, easy to achieve universal goal. But it is difficult with some sites that contain a lot of information. Even with small, simple sites, confusing navigation is often found. j.t.a.c. will take the extra effort to make your site as easy to navigate as possible.

There are many ways to achieve easy navigation and one method does not suit all sites. Proper evaluation of your content and proper organization of that content followed by proper web site structure and navigational elements will make your visitors visit far easier and allow the visitors to find what they are looking for.

j.t.a.c. does not make your site to "fit" a pre-determined mold. Your site will be unique, custom made for your and your company's needs. If top category tabs fits best, then your site could use that type of navigation. If left side buttons fits best, then left side buttons it will be. If text links are best, text links it is. Commonly, some combination of more than one type of navigation will work best and can be part of your site. Finding a easy method for your web site visitors to reach the page(s) they wish is the purpose.

The j.t.a.c. site your visiting now primarily uses the top horizontal "pop down" menu you see on other pages. In additional to that navigation, on appropriate sections are buttons (with on/off visual clues) to also lead visitors to section related information.

For demonstration purposes, this page's navigation is switched to a floating menu. If you have scrolled down to read this, you should see the floating menu follow you as you scroll down. The floating menu as used here contains navigation to the j.t.a.c. Services section and home page only. A floating menu is not normally used but serves as an example of navigation to fit a specific need or situation. As a "non-standard" navigation element, I can not guarantee that every visitor will see such correctly but this page also contains more traditional navigation elements (text links at the bottom) to insure easy navigation if the "floating menu" does not work on someone's system.
