j.t.a.c. Furniture Design
In addition to designing web sites and other graphic work, I design and build custom furniture.
Woodworking is more a hobby than a career, but I do charge for items and make a little extra money. Mostly I just love woodworking. If a project is interesting to me and the client can afford the materials and a small fee for my time, I will design and build such custom items.
I had done a bit of woodworking in high school and always enjoyed it. But I graduated and did not have the equipment. Many, many years transpired and when I lost a exclusive contract I was out of work. I had bought some tools when we moved into our "farm" to build horse fences, a round pen and other items in the yard so-to-speak. As I had too much time at that time, I decided I would rebuild my graphic/web design business AND start my own custom woodworking business.
The woodworking business has grown and my skills have grown. I've made many very nice items and look forward to continuing to tackle exciting new woodworking adventures.
